City Of Perth Announces Free Night-Time Parking, Fast-Tracked Alfresco Permits
With ongoing uncertainty around what’s happening in Perth with regards to that pesky virus making its way into town, this week City Of Perth announced a new initiative called ‘Bounce Back’.
Stage 1 in a series of initiatives kicks off today (Friday 25 February), in an effort to assist businesses in the city through COVID.
This first round is centred around three key areas: Free night-time parking across 10,000 parking bays (street and CPP car parks); fee free and fast-tracked alfresco dining permits; and fast cash $5K business grants.
“COVID has arrived in our community but we don’t have to stay at home. If we continue to operate with courage and common sense, we can enjoy everything our capital city has to offer,” said Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas.

Along with the free parking from 6pm-5.59am on the street and in the Pier Street, His Majesty’s and Cultural Centre car parks, weekend parking is also free for three hours.
“This is our initial offering and we will continue to respond to the needs of our business ratepayers,” said Mr Zempilas.
