The WA Govt And Virgin Have Announced Cheaper Flights To The North West
Given we can’t really leave the country for holidays at the moment, it’s fair to say we’re hearing the phrase “Broome is the new Bali” bandied about more and more.
Well this week that phrase took another step towards becoming a reality with the announcement of cheaper airfares and more flights to two key WA travel spots – Broome and Kununurra.
The WA Government and Virgin Australia have joined forces to unlock almost 8000 discounted tickets to enable folks to fly to Broome one-way for $199 and Kununurra one-way for $229 from August 3 until October 31 2020.
These cheaper fares will combine with the Perth-Broome route returning to a daily service (up from 3 per week) and Perth-Kununurra flights running three times per week (up from 2).

These discounted flights are available to book now, must be booked at least 21 days before departure, and are available on return flights too.
Premier Mark McGowan said, “The best thing we can do for the State’s tourism industry is to get out and travel to our many wonderful locations, and this initiative will make a Kimberley holiday more affordable to more Western Australians.”
If you’ve been following Perth Is OK lately, you’ll have noticed we’ve been going all in on up north, as Western Australians get out there and explore our state’s great northwest region.
If you’re thinking of planning a trip north in the coming months, we’ve broken it down from all angles.
