It’s fair to say we’ve fallen pretty hard for WA Museum Boola Bardip since it re-launched back in 2020 – it’s a spectacular attraction that absolutely warrants repeat visits just to take it all in.

Alongside the Museum’s regular programming there’s also a regular program of visiting International and Interstate exhibitions, and if you haven’t checked out their latest – the truly epic Dinosaurs of Patagonia – now is the time!

While it’s been a massive hit for the little kids, the Museum knows that big kids love dinosaurs just as much and there’s a huge program of events lined up to make it even more fun.

Every Friday night the exhibition opens up for adults only as The Bar Before Time, where you can not only tuck into a tipple or two with the Patagotitan, but also enjoy a heap of fun events while you do it.

Tonight, they’re launching the Jurassic Drag Quiz night, with Miss Cara taking the reins for 45 minutes of dino trivia in the surrounds of the exhibit. We’ve heard tonight’s session is almost sold out, but they’ll be bringing it back in September and October with Cougar Morrison – so make sure you book ahead here.

If you’re up for something a little more chill, over the next few Friday nights you can enjoy tunes provided by Perth faves Jamilla, Elise Keddie and Kim Little, fun and educational Dino Talks from resident expert Rhys Meyerkort, plus performances from WASAMBA – with more performance announcements to come.

If you’re not so much of a night owl, or have kids yet to see the exhibit, there’s still plenty going on every day, including Dino Digs every Saturday; a Torchlight Dino Disco next school holidays; and on Sundays you can pop in for a special Epoch Breakfast + Dinosaur Tour!

In excellent news for people with sensory needs there’ll be Quiet Hour sessions coming up (the next is Saturday 27 August), and if you want your kids under two to get into dinosaurs really early, there’s regular Baby Friendly Tours on Wednesday mornings.

Dinosaurs Of Patagonia runs until Sunday 23 October, get more info on it and what else is happening at WA Museum Boola Bardip via their Website.
