Cinemas are beginning to open back up around Australia, making sure proper physical distancing restrictions are in place.

This November however, one company has crafted the perfect physically distant cinema-going experience – a Floating Boat Cinema!

While we don’t know too much about the event yet, Sydney-based events company Beyond Cinema has listed a national run for the concept via Zip Tickets.

The event has been scheduled to run for on week from November 11, with location and movie lineup details to come.

According to the event, “The cinema will be made up of 12 to 24 mini boats, holding up to 8 people per boat.

“Tickets will require you to purchase the whole boat to ensure that groups will be seated with friends and family only, and to allow for social distancing on and between boats!”

The event also promises free popcorn, with drinks and other snacks available to purchase before you board.

It sounds pretty great to us, and if you agree you can pre-register your interest here.

Hands up who wants to see something like JAWS on the water?
