As far as Perth success stories go, Pigeonhole is up there with some of the best. The fact that many people just assume it’s a big nation-wide brand is testament to that, however its origins began way back in 2007 as tiny, one-stop shop tucked down a forgotten arcade on Barrack Street in Perth’s CBD.

From those humble beginnings owner Johann Kim has launched the brand around Australia, exhibited at trade shows in NYC, Paris, Amsterdam and London, is stocked in boutiques around the world, navigated COVID and launched a sister store, Hello Houseplant.

Next month however, Kim is going back to where things started, launching FLOCK FESTIVAL, a mini cultural celebration for the store’s 15th anniversary involving an incredible month-long series of events in the rear portion of the Pigeonhole on Hay Street, running from October 1-30.

There’ll be something on every single night of the week featuring an array of Perth’s emerging, best and brightest creative talent, including artists like Amok Island and Anya Brock; bands like Alter Boy (pictured below) and Randa & The Soul Kingdom; party crews like NestFM and Ningaloo Records and more, including workshops, creative talks and performance nights.
