In case you hadn’t heard the news, an uber-cool mini arts, culture and music festival has been happening in the middle of the CBD for the past couple of weeks – FLOCK FESTIVAL.

Presented by Pigeonhole in celebration of the WA-born retail success story’s 15th birthday, in a special space up the back of their store in the Hay Street Mall there’s been live in-store gigs, parties, performances, artist talks, workshops and more.

The festival runs until Monday 31 October and there’s something on every night and some of the days until then, so we’ve plucked a few of the best of a great bunch for you to have a look at below. Check it out below, along with the full remaining program HERE.

Someone Will Remember Us (Thu 20 Oct)

Classical music collective Tenth Muse will share performances from the past, present and future, all written by composers who’ve been marginalised or disempowered throughout history. A thought-provoking education on the diverse voices often overlooked in classical music, you can get more info and grab tickets here.

Hi Vibe (Fri 21 Oct)

Two of Perth’s finest musos will combine for a body shaking duel between didgeridoo and percussion vs mesmerising guitar solos and stunning singing. Si Mullumby and Ben Catley bring a high energy blues and roots show to the big smoke for a night of growlin’ good times. Tickets here.


Stories of Home (Thu 27 Oct)

Join First Nations folks Lachy John, Koondarm Choir and MissGenius as they come together for an ecclectic night showcasign Noongar musical storytelling with pop, rap and folk songwriting, with a side of storytelling from local mob. There’ll also be bushtucker bites from Bindi Bindi Dreaming and visual prints sold by ISLAND GHOUL (tash Maeva), and you can grab tickets here.


Alter Ego w/ BadWhip, Butter + Coco Elise (Fri 28 Oct)

Three of Walyalup and Boorloo’s alt-jazz faves team up for a smooth night of ear-buzzing selections to help you slide into the weekend as smoothly as possible. Tickets here.


Soul Train Get Down feat. Randa & The Soul Kingdom, Ken Paolo, Soul Delicious and DJ Sacha (Sat 29 Oct)

Bust out those flares, don your favourite sequin frock and put on ya dancin’ boots because the final Saturday night of FLOCK is going to be disco extravaganza with some of the smoothest cats in the game inviting you to climb onboard one serious soul train. Get down on it and grab tickets here.
