Expect the unexpected this Easter long weekend, with the return of Australasia’s largest street arts event to Fremantle!

Fremantle International Street Arts Festival was founded back in 1999, and showcases the most exciting and groundbreaking street theatre from all over the world – and this year, they’re kicking things up a notch with a full-throttle “After Dark” program.

Yet to be released, the stacked 2024 program brings together an impressive collection of highly acclaimed international and local artists with shows that will both delight and shock you – whether it’s heart-stopping stunts, jaw-dropping comedy or whimsical puppetry, there’ll be something for the whole family during the jam-packed four days of fun.

“Visitors should embrace the quintessence of Fremantle and wander through the port city to choose their own festival adventure. Seven stages will be located throughout the city and they are all to be discovered,” said Festival Producer Brendan Coleman.

Last year, the free event attracted over 100,000 visitors over the four-day festival.

“This year we’re really shaking things up for the festival with international artists exceptionally skilled in stilt walking, an epic volume of bubble trouble and a sensationally strong all-female performance circus troupe. I guarantee that you will see things you have never seen before.”

“From awe-inspiring stilt walkers to mermaids in lagoons, to echoing voices in arcades our artists are here to entertain and amaze.”

“FISAF is designed to make our city shine – it will amplify and enhance its diversity, creativity and spirit. It brings together a mix of talented world-class performers and places them into our community to deliver a mind-boggling, bombastic experience for all to enjoy.”
