After the absolute kick-in-the-guts for the arts and entertainment industry that was 2020, Perth’s snap lockdown a couple of weeks ago once again took aim at the same people with Perth’s Fringe World Festival being put on hold right in the thick of things.

The masks-on, venue-capacity-restricted following week didn’t help either, but with things returning back to normal on the final day of Fringe (February 14), many performers received some kinda lifeline with news an encore season has been announced.

Running from today (Monday 15 February) Girls School in East Perth will become a Fringe hub until February 28, along with smaller venues around Perth including Perth Town Hall, Universal Bar, Air Nightclub and many more.

The Rosemount Hotel will host popular new musical The Karaoke Club, while comedic talents Pete Rowsthorn and daughter Frankie will take over The Royal.

Elsewhere Northbridge will continue to hum with Matt Storer’s Hot Nonsense and Reuben Kaye continuing on at The Rechabite, along with much more.

Sadly The Woodside Pleasure Gardens will not be open for the encore, but we only see that as more excuse to get out and explore some smaller venues around Perth rather than just gravitating towards the biggest bar!

Head to Fringe World Festival’s WHAT’S ON GUIDE to book in some shows today.
