Do You Wanna Build A Snowman? Frozen The Musical Kicks Off In Perth Next Month!

This August at Crown, you Perth peeps will get their chance to experience the magic of Disney’s mega-hit Frozen with the spectacular stage production, Frozen the Musical.

Hitting our shores for the first time, the incredible theatre experience is produced by the same team that brought the amazing stage shows of The Lion King, Aladdin and Mary Poppins to Broadway.

Alongside the movie’s most iconic songs, the full-length musical production features 12 new songs – written by Oscar-winning husband and wife duo Kristen Anderson Lopez and Bobby Lopez. (Fun fact: Bobby Lopez is the only double EGOT and the youngest person to achieve EGOT status!)

As well as these new songs, the impressive stage production features some breathtaking costumes – all 440 of which were made in Australia, including Elsa’s spectacular ice dress that took over 60 days to hand bead.

The set design is equally impressive, with special effects that will transport you straight to the snowy streets of Arendelle and Elsa’s ice castle, not to mention the mesmerising puppets from the master behind Broadway’s The Lion King.

We got the chance to check out the performance in Adelaide a little while back and we’ve gotta say – we were swept away! (You could even say it thawed our cold, cold hearts.)
