Fremantle Festival’s 10 Nights In Port kicked off in earnest over the weekend, and if you’ve missed out on the fun so far – fear not, there’s still plenty to get around this week.

And one of the most intriguing exhibitions/experiences has to be Claiming Space, from multi-disciplinary artists Sam Kerr-Phillips (pictured above) and Hugo Flavelle.
Part photographic exhibition, part tour, Kerr-Phillips’ becomes the publican of his very own mobile tiki bar AKA The Spaboobar, rolling around to various tourist and sub-cultural communities around town.
His mobile media chair, lighthouse trailer complete with lighting, sound system, video capture and a high powered projector in tow, displays his own world of drawings onto the city.

All the while you join the tour on one of the wheelchairs provided, experiencing the artworks from their perspective while enjoying a drink from Sam’s bar.
