Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival: A hot December of huge shows and heaps of fun

We’re just over two weeks out from the return of Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival, where warm nights and open-air live music mix with innovative activations and creative experiences…

Indeed, it’s a wildly unique festival experience running from December 1 until New Year’s Eve, this year’s fest is musical melting pot of talent from all over the globe across 13 huge nights.

ARTIST LINEUP

This year’s festival welcomes a who’s who of the world’s best live acts and DJs, from returning favourites like Hermitude and Germany’s Claptone, to new-comers like San Cisco, PNAU and Golden Features. And a word to the wise – tickets are flying for a lot of these, so we suggest getting moving!

FOOD

The burger kings at Milky Lane are back serving up their iconic burgers and bites at Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival. All this dancing and drinking is sure to work up your appetite, and Milky Lane will be slinging big burgs along with plenty of snacks to keep you well-paced and very-well fed.

NEW STAGES

In recent years it’s fair to say things have gotten a little steamy inside the main stage warehouse, so you’ll be excited to know that this year the main stage has moved outdoors. Seeing your favourite artists under the stars? What a dream! For more intimate sounds head to their biggest ever Red Bull Silent Disco, or the 360° Boiler Room stage.

BARS, BARS AND MORE BARS

You’ll have plenty of opportunity to imbibe in a few refreshments while you’re at Ice Cream Factory this year, including the Patron Tequila Terrace, Bilson’s Soda Bar, Smirnoff Rooftop Sanctuary, Rocky Ridge Candyland, Captain Morgan Tropical Shack, Gordon’s Gin Pink Pavilion, Frozen Funhouse Slushy Bar and the Smirnoff Hard Soda Club.

CHILL OUT ZONES AND FITNESS FUN

This year Drug Aware WA has partnered with Ice Cream Factory to help keep festival goers safe with a designated chill out zone featuring comfy couches, beanbags⁠, free water, phone charging facilities and info on help you and your pals stay safe. Likewise, all of this partying might have you feeling like a little freshen up over the journey, so why not hit up the Fitness Factory Takeover? On Dec 6, 13 and 20 head to the Ice Cream Factory site for some Wednesdays of Wellness, hosted by Ride With LA Fit, Amanda Bisk Sweat Evolution and Yoga with LA Fit.

TATTOOS ARE BACK

If you’re looking make things official, Inkarts Tattoo Studio is back with over 50 designs to choose from and extra artists to make some forever memories – just make sure to get in early and get your name on the list.

PERTH IS OK! PARTY PERGOLA

Last, and most definitely not least, we’re stoked to have our own rather large area for the entire Ice Cream Factory run this summer – the Perth is OK! Party Pergola. It runs right alongside the mainstage offering awesome views of your fave artists, and we’ll be there to celebrate night one (and a few others after) – cop 15% of your tickets using the code “PIOK” for the Genesis Owusu show and come say g’day!
