For many of us, the cold weather makes for perfect sleeping conditions – those chilly nights mean we can snuggle up under a toasty doona in our comfy beds at home and sleep soundly until morning.

But not everyone gets to experience these creature comforts – cold nights can be extremely tough for young people living on the streets.

Vinnies’ Tough Night Out is all about shedding light on this harsh reality while also raising vital funds to fight youth homelessness in WA.

And this is where you come in – West Aussies are encouraged to get involved in the Tough Night Out by gathering a crew for a sleepout on Friday 15 September.

On that night you can take part by experiencing a night of discomfort – we’re talking in an office, school, university, car or back yard.

Once you have your sleep squad and signed up, you can spread the word to reach your fundraising goals, with the more funds you raised creating a more authentic Tough Night Out experience.

That’s right, your generous donors have the power to make your night extra tough with each fundraising milestone meaning you have to let go of a luxury you normally take for granted.

By taking part in Vinnies Tough Night Out, you probably won’t get a good night’s sleep, but you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those sleeping rough, while raising funds to support Passages Youth Engagement Hubs in Perth and Mandurah.

These hubs provide a non-judgmental safe space for at-risk young people aged between 12 and 25, helping them access support and referrals to essential services.

So, what are you waiting for? Rally that sleep squad and sign up for the Vinnies Tough Night Out before 15 September!
