Jokes For Change: Say Nup To The Cup With A Night Of Comedy At The Bird This Tuesday
The Laugh Department are a funny bunch of peeps throwing awesome comedy nights around town, and this Tuesday 2 November they’re throwing a particularly special party at The Bird as part of their Jokes For Change initiative. This entirely not-for-profit comedy show will be raising money for worthy causes at all of their events, with every show show being in support of a new cause/issue/organisation chosen by their audience in the lead-up to the event.

They’re kicking things off with a particularly relevant night of laughs at The Bird as an alternative to the Melbourne Cup, raising funds for Greener Pastures Sanctuary in Waroona, currently home to over 180 rescued animals. The night will be headlined by the hilarious Simone Springer (pictured, below) and Andrew Silverwood, joined in very capable support by excellent emerging acts Kate Sophia Willoughby (Best Perth Newcomer, 2020), Charlotte Glance (Sold Out “2 Broke Gays” Perth Fringe), Tori Griffiths (2x Raw Comedy state finalist) and Zeppo (Local Legend according to the team at Perth Is OK!).
Proudly endorsed by us here at Perth Is OK! along with Perth’s only 100% vegan grocery store, La Vida Vegan, tickets are only $22.19 with all profits going towards Greener Pastures, and you get a lovely night of laughs for the trouble!
