Kings Park to transform into a glowing winter wonderland this June for Lightscape
While we certainly love our summer festive celebrations, a twinkling light does make us yearn for the charm of winter – and we’ll get both when Lightscape transforms Kings Park in June.
The world-renowned experience features the work of international and local artists as they create a 1.8km trail of immersive light and sound sculptures through the stunning park’s surrounds – including grand illuminated tree-canopies, twinkling tunnels and gigantic floral sculptures.

As well as partnering with Sony to achieve the huge immersive experience, local talent will help to craft the breathtaking installation.
2023’s season will mark only the second time Lightscape has come to Australia after a lauded season in Melbourne earlier in 2022, and the first time the installation has come to Perth.
“Lightscape offers Western Australians a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see our very own Kings Park in, quite literally, a whole new light,” Environment Minister Reece Whitby said.
“It’s fantastic that Western Australians have the opportunity to experience such a world-class, larger-than-life extravaganza. Kings Park is the heart and soul of Perth and I’m sure Western Australians will snap up tickets to what is expected to be a sell-out immersive spectacle.”
