Leederville’s shopping and dining precinct looks set to get a major touch up in 2021 as the ABN Group’s new office development reaches its completion.

A big part of that will be the Leederville Hotel’s redevelopment as a multi-venue food, drink and entertainment precinct, in the process becoming Leederville’s first official laneway precinct.

The refurbed hotel will now open out into a new laneway precinct that connects the hotel’s old carpark to Newcastle Street.

Laneway precincts similar to this have begun popping up all over Perth, with an aim to bring together food, drink, entertainment and retail with arts and culture to form a true community hub.

And in line with that community ethos, the Hotel is asking the good people of Leederville to help with the naming of the new laneway precinct.

Their “Name The Leedy Laneway” competition will not only give winner’s bragging rights on the new precinct, but a $500 voucher to dine at any of the new hospitality joints once the redevelopment is completed (which should be around August-September this year).
