From freaky-deeky alien puppets or ’90s cyberpunk anarchy to noughties pop satire and camp chaos, Trash Classics have been keeping the spirit of the VHS movie well and truly alive – and they’re back for a fifth season of succulent cinematic sorcery at Luna Leederville.

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure, after all!

Hosted and curated by Tristan Fidler, from RTRFM’s Movie Squad and Luna’s The Room screenings, each screening is sure to be a masterclass of cheesiness, and a communal experience of everything that makes these cult faves so darn watchable!

This season, they’ll be kicking things off with the kickboxer himself: Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1993 masterpiece Hard Target. JCVD plays a Cajun drifter with an impressive mullet, targeted by a secret network of wealthy people hunting poor people for sport! Don’t hunt what you can’t kill!

The program will run until December, and will also feature beloved classics like Galaxy Quest, The Exorcist III, American Movie and Gremlins 2: The New Batch (essential viewing!).
