If you’re not already aware of WA-based not-for-profit Mens Talk, it’s a charity built around mainstreaming conversations around mental health and wellness for all people identifying as male, engaging with the community to help tackle mental health issues like depression, anxiety and suicide.

With the weather warming up, things at Mens Talk events are also heating up, with a couple of awesome activations this November down at Scarborough beach.

It’s a fantastic day to get around and connect with the community, and along with helpful stalls tackling the above, there’ll be plenty of food and goods stalls to check out as well.

It’s also the perfect warm-up event for the upcoming Swim For Life event, which started out in 2019 to generate conversations around mental health while raising funds for suicide prevention.

Mens Talk Perth Swim Relay

It’s since blossomed into something much bigger, becoming a key pillar in the mental health and awareness calendar for the community at large.

Running over two days on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November, teams are invited to take on a massive 24-hour swimming relay in the Scarborough Beach Pools, raising funds for suicide prevention and to help Mens Talk continue to offer events and spaces for communities to keep conversations going!
