The new designs have been unveiled as part of the agency’s Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project, which will see the railway elevated and five new elevated stations built along the Armadale Line, as well as the closure of Welshpool Station.

The project aims to reduce traffic congestion, provide additional public open spaces and provide modern stations to cater for future needs.

The new Cannington station will include, along with the elevated railway, 16 bus stands and 290 parking bays.

The new Queens Park station will be closer to Hamilton Street, removing the Hamilton Street level crossing and providing 90 parking bays.

If you’d like to comment on the public spaces, a formal Development Application will be submitted to the City of Canning in the coming months.
