If it’s not a Mrs Mac’s, take it back!

The iconic WA brand has become synonymous with the humble meat pie, but following sustained financial difficulty following COVID and increasing ingredient costs, they’ve now been sold to a mystery buyer.

First baking in 1954 under their original name “Bakewell Pies”, they were headquartered in Northbridge. In 1966, the company made its move to its current facility Morley, introducing automated production lines in the ’70s and gaining its iconic name in the ’80s. Since then, Mrs Mac’s has baked over 100 million pies, sausage rolls and other baked goods.

Mrs Mac’s is predicted to continue trading under the new owner, with the previous corporate entity entering into liquidation.
