In terms of sports stadiums around Australia, we think it’s fair (and perhaps a little bias) that Perth’s Optus Stadium is ahead of the curve.

The state of the art sport and entertainment ground has been impressing visitors since 2018, and this week’s news once again puts Optus Stadium at the top of the pile.

When it comes to 5G, Optus has switched it on in just over 100 locations around WA, and Optus Stadium is now the latest addition to that list.

It means stadium-goers with access to Optus 5G will be able to access the Optus Stadium Tour Package, offering an immersive and interactive experience for tour patrons that will enhance the stadium experience, including a day to night view of the stadium (including the Stadium’s spectacular light show) and using augmented reality run over 5G.

“5G will be transformative in the home, at work and when we are at play, like cheering on your team or singing along to your favourite artist.

“We know people have been eager to get back into Optus Stadium with a full crowd and with Optus 5G now enabled throughout the stadium, fans will be able to connect at the speed of their excitement,” said Optus CEO, Kelly Bayer Rosmarin.
