Another week, another list claiming the best beaches in the world…
If you cast your minds back, it was only in January that we were overflowing with outrage at only one WA beach making the top ten of Tourism Australia’s Best Beaches of 2023. (Read our scathing take here.)
Well, nature is healing – and Broome’s Cable Beach has been named one of the world’s absolute best, coming in at number three in this year’s Tripadvisor’s annual Travelers’ Choice Awards.
The stunning beach is known around the world for its iconic camel rides and truly spectacular sunsets along its pristine 22km expanse.
Beating out Western Australia for the top two spots were Eagle Beach in Aruba, and Baia do Sancho in Brazil for number one. (Which we’re sure are very nice and all…)
Rounding out the top five were the striking black sands of Iceland’s Reynisfjara Beach (pictured below) and Providenciales’ Grace Bay Beach.
