Over 73,000 Of You Saw Ed Sheeran Last Night, Setting A New Concert Record In WA

As far as absolutely massive events go we gotta say Perth has been on a bit of a tear so far in 2023.
From UFC and sold out BBL Grand Finals to Red Hot CHili Peppers and the return of large-scale musical festivals like St. Jerome’s Laneway and Falls Fremantle, it’s been a banner year for events in WA.
And last night the ante was upped even further thanks to the world’s favourite ginger pop star, Ed Sheeran, who played to a crowd of 73,092 people at Optus Stadium.
The show was the final stop of the Australian leg of his “+–=÷× Tour”, and the first time he’d been in Perth since being the first artist to play a concert at Optus Stadium in 2018.
Of the many happy fans of his performance was none other than WA Premier Mark McGowan, who said via Facebook today, “And I can confirm – he did not disappoint.”
Earlier in the day Sheeran spent time playing some tunes for sick children at Perth’s Children Hospital.
