Perth’s Direct-To-London Flights Will Return Earlier, Commencing May 23
After previously being scheduled to commence on June 19, the much-anticipated return of the direct flight between Perth and London has been brought forward to later this month.
Now commencing from May 23, the Qantas flights are now open for booking after being temporarily re-routed due to COVID-19 in 2019.

Before that postponement, international leisure arrivals from Europe had increased by almost 2.8% in 2019 compared to 2018, injecting almost $550 million visitor spend into the WA economy, according to the WA Government.
The resumption of this service comes ahead of the launch of Qantas’ upcoming direct Perth-Rome service, commencing June 22 and running three times per week.
“This direct route between Perth and London made history when it was first launched, and along with the upcoming Perth to Rome route, its early return firmly positions WA as Australia’s western gateway to Europe,” said WA Premier Mark McGowan.
“We strongly encourage our European friends to take advantage of these direct services to come to Western Australia, visit family and friends, and most importantly, Wander out Yonder into our regions and explore all the incredible attractions our State has to offer,” added Tourism Minister Roger Cook.
