Tell you what, WA Day week just keeps serving up epic Perth sports stories to celebrate, and today’s is right up there with the biggest moments for Australians in golf.

Earlier this morning Corpus Christi alumni Minjee Lee won the 2022 Women’s US Open, one of the sport’s toughest achievements, and along with a huge trophy takes home $2.5 million in prize money – the biggest in the sport.

It wasn’t just the win however, it was how she won, staying out front all day to win by 4 strokes and setting the lowest 72 hole score in US history.

At only 26 years of age Lee has now won two majors in Women’s golf, joining only six other Aussies to win more than one in the history of the sport.

Lee’s brother, Min Woo, also a professional golfer, summed it up pretty perfectly with the below tweet:
