Last night the team behind popular Perth venues like The Flour Factory, Varnish On King and Hadiqa announced their next ambitious project – the 1000-person CBD brewery/pub – Pirate Life Perth.

Teaming up with the popular South Australian brewery, Sneakers & Jeans announced the huge Murray Street brewpub will officially launch this summer, with construction commencing this week.

“Pirate Life Perth will be the biggest singular hospitality development the Perth CBD has seen in a long time – it will be unlike anything this City has ever seen,” Sneakers & Jeans CEO Andy Freeman said. “Perth is ready for a brewery focused on quality brews and great food set in a world class designed venue the heart of our City.”

The announcement follows a few collaborations between Pirate Life and Sneakers & Jeans, including a couple of popular new brews – the Apple & Guava Sour and Kakadu Plum & Lemon Myrtle Pale Ale.

“After the positive response to our co-lab beer partnership with Pirate Life we knew this next step was the right decision,” Freeman said.

The new venue – which will crucially add 75 new jobs to the Perth hospitality scene – will brew most of Pirate Life’s staple beers, along with a few co-labs.

It’ll be multi-storey, with different spaces and kitchens slinging a variety of modern pub fare.
