This week sees the commencement of an excellent new community-based initiative from Raine Square to help three WA charities supporting people in need.

Running now until September 13th, shoppers who purchase a meal in the newly-refurbished food court will have the opportunity to nominate one of the three causes, which in turns represents a $5 donation to provide a meal to that charity.

The three charities Raine Square is partnering with are: Uniting WA to support people experiencing homelessness in the CBD; Foodbank WA helping provide food to people in need; and Orana House providing accommodation and support to women and children that are victims of family and domestic violence.

It’s the brainchild of Raine Square owner/operators Charter Hall, and Fund Manager of the group Trent James said, “This year has brought immense change, unprecedented challenges and uncertainty.

“Pleasingly, it has started much needed conversations and brought out the best in people… We’ve seen people coming together – teaching, sharing and supporting each other and we want to continue that positive movement by extending our support throughout the community.”

In addition to the $5 sent from casting your vote (done so via a QR code on store counters), customers can also enter a draw to win a $250 Raine Square Gift Card.

You’ll also join a special meal deal newsletter, where weekly lunch offers will be sent every Monday lunchtime to help support local business (and your wallet!).
