Telethon Is Coming Back To The CBD This Weekend, Including A Huge Family Street Festival!
Us Perthites (Perthians? Sandgropers?) have a lot of pride when it comes to our little corner of the world, and it’s fair to say Telethon is up there with uniquely Perth things that we hold most dearest.
And after an incredible, record-breaking year raising over $62 million in 2021, the annual event returns to its spiritual home of the Perth CBD over two massive days of family fun and fundraising this weekend, October 22 and 23.

Kicking off from 7pm on Saturday and running for 26 non-stop, action-packed and comedy-filled hours, this year the fest’s home base will be within the spectacular surrounds of RAC Arena, where you can grab tickets for both the opening and closing shows.
The Opening Show will feature live performances from the likes of Ricki-Lee and Ella Hooper; interviews with this year’s honorary guests Ari, Emly and Leo; lip sync battles; and of course the infamous panel, while the Closing Show features a performance from the legendary Hoodoo Gurus.
In addition, this year’s Telethon will spill out on to Wellington Street on Sunday from 10am-4pm for the Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles, with live performances, roving entertainment, activities, food-trucks, free carnival rides and more.
Wellington Street will be closed from Elder Street to Yagan Square for the event, which is also free to get to thanks to free public transport all day on Sunday.
