A new open-water swim from Dunsborough to Busselton Jetty is on this November!
Given the glorious beaches on offer around Perth and Western Australia, it’s no surprise we love to get around a good open-water swim or two on the calendar every year.

And whether your a Rottnest channel swim regular or just love a paddle in the big blue, we’ve found a new open-water swim that might be right up your alley (or lane?).
The Geo Bay Swim is an open-water swim that used to happen in a more casual fashion in the early-2000s, and is being re-launched in 2023 as the Yahava KoffeeWorks Cool Water Classic with an eye towards becoming another iconic WA swim fixture on the Perth events calendar.
It’s happening on Saturday 11 November and you can take part in teams, duos or solo, starting in Dunsborough following a 20km course towards Busselton, finishing up at Busselton Jetty.
There’ll be multiple beach parties along the course offering competitors a chance to fuel up or swap swimmers, and there’ll be entertainment throughout the day leading up to the winners ceremony.
Registrations are still open – head to the Geo Bay Swim website for more information and get involved!
