The brainchild Amanda and Mark Walker, WA HomeStay offers a premium online booking platform with two major aims. First, to be fair to both owners and guests, and second, to keep the local communities these properties exist within best interests at heart.
This is achieved in two important ways that have us excited about the partnership over working other overseas-operated platforms: lower booking fees (5% versus up to 20% with others) and only accommodation that has been registered with the local council available to book. Quite simply, lower fees provide better value to both hosts and bookers, while registered accommodation is important for a variety of reasons, including maintaining the vibe of the community you’re wanting to be a tourist in in the first place!
