Check out some snaps of Perth getting around the Matildas last night
Well the dream of a history-making FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy may be over, but the collective pride we’re feeling in Australia right now is at an all time high.
Sam Kerr and her mighty Matildas gave it all this campaign, and while they were outplayed by the England Lionesses at Stadium Australia last night, they lost no fans in the process.
Thousands of Perth peeps turned up at the FIFA Fan Festival™ in Forrest Place and HBF Park to watch the action last night, and we sent photographer Daniel Njegich along to both to snap a few pics.
Check ’em out below, and start making plans of where you’ll watch the Matildas final game of the Cup on Saturday arvo, as they try to beat Sweden and take third place in what’s been a World Cup for the ages.
