In some breaking news that has broken through our Thursday afternoon lull: Optus Stadium is set to host the WWE Elimination Chamber in February 2024!
This will be the only Premium Live Event in the Asia-Pacific region in 2024, the first time ever that a WWE Premium Live Event has come to WA, and only the second time that the event has ever been held in the country, with the last event held back in 2018.
While most details are yet to be revealed, the exclusive live event will take place on Saturday, February 24, and will be beamed to “up to a billion households” worldwide.
“The WWE stadium spectacle will drive visitors to Western Australia from right around the world, inject millions into the economy and showcase our State on the global stage,” said Premier Roger Cook.
“We know the UFC 284 event held in Perth this year was a winner for WA, attracting thousands of visitors and breaking attendance and revenue records, and we expect WWE will be just as successful as we host it for the first time here next year.”
“Not only will we have top international WWE superstars making their way Down Under to WA, we will also provide a major platform for our local champs including Australia’s own product – Rhea Ripley.”
