This Perth Legend Just Smashed The World Record Speed For E-Skateboarding
Perth local Raine Kent has just been awarded the Guinness World Record for the fastest speed on an electric skateboard, reaching an impressive 132.37km/ph on a board he designed himself.

The mechanical engineer started downhill skating when he was a teenager, and in 2017 launched his own electric skateboard company, Raith – with pre-orders for their two models now open. Raith’s 4WD boards are assembled by hand locally and utilise a direct drive system, eliminating many overheating issues that electric skateboards have dealt with in the past.
The previous world record was set at 95km/ph. Prior to reaching the new official record of 132.37km/ph, Raine has been unofficially smashing records during board prototyping stages – reaching unofficial world records of 107km/ph, 112km/ph and 117km/ph.
