The UFC have just added five new fights to the Perth’s UFC 305 card, set to take place at RAC arena this August.

Today, the UFC confirmed multiple fights will be joining the three previously confirmed bouts on the card, bringing the total up to eight at the time of publication.

The following fights will join Israel Adesanya v Dricus Du Plessis, Tom Nolan v Alex Reyes and Casey O’Neill v Tereza Bleda on August’s card:

Steve Erceg v Kai Kara-France

Perth legend and number nine flyweight in the world Steve “Astroboy” Ecreg will fight New Zealand standout and number four ranked Kai Kara-France, in a fight which could determine a number one contender for the flyweight title. Erceg’s last fight in the UFC was a decision loss to UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja, however, his performance in that fight greatly improved his standing with the fans, with some considering him the uncrowned king of the division.

Kara-France enters the cage on a two-fight losing streak, his last fight being a highly controversial split decision loss to Amir Albazi. Prior to that fight, Kara-France lost an interim title fight against Brandon Moreno. Both fighters having lost recent attempts at UFC gold make this a fight that could crown a
clear contender to the 56.7 kg title.

Tai Tuivasa v Jairzinho Rozenstruik

Fan favourite Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa will return to the cage to face heavy hitter Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a heavyweight throwdown. Currently on a four-fight losing streak, Tuivasa last fought in March this year, where he was submitted by Marcin Tybura in the first round. Rozenstruik is currently 2-2 in his last four fights, his most recent being a victory over Shamil Gaziev, also in March.

Jack Jenkins v Gavin Tucker

UFC 305 is set to see Jack Jenkins return to the Octagon after an 11-month absence following a horrific elbow break he suffered at UFC 293 in Sydney. Jenkins was tripped by his opponent and posted out on his arm as he fell, hyper extending his arm and breaking it. The fight is considered a submission loss on his record and broke a nine-fight win streak for the featherweight. Jenkins will stand across from Canadian Gavin Tucker, who is currently on a two fight lose streak following losses to Dan Ige and Diego Lopes.

Junior Tafa v Valter Walker

The younger of the two Tafa brothers, Junior Tafa will step into the cage across from Brazil’s Valter Walker. Tafa suffered a loss in his last fight after stepping in to replace his older brother, Justin, on
less than 24 hours nortice to fight Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 298 in February. Walker is entering this fight coming off his only loss in his professional MMA career, when he lost a decision to Lukas Brzeki in his UFC debut earlier this year. Prior to this, walker was undefeated in 11 pro MMA fights.

Josh Culibao v Ricardo Ramos

Gold Coast’s Josh Culibao will fight Ricardo Ramos in a featherweight bout at UFC 305. Both fighters enter this bout on a two fight skid, meaning this fight is important for both fighters to get their UFC careers back on track with a win.

UFC 305 will be held at Perth’s RAC arena on Sunday 18 August, with tickets going on sale soon – head to racarena.com.au/whats-on/ufc-305 for more info.
