The ‘greatest racing spectacle on dirt’ will rev its way into Perth this November when the FIM World Supercross Championship takes over HBF Park on the weekend of November 23-24.

Perth will be the only Australian destination to host two legs of the global event this year (rounds 2 and 3), after Canada (round 1) and before the final in Abu Dhabi.

Sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de Motocylisme (FIM), this Championship is the pinnacle of global supercross racing.

“There’s strong support for supercross in WA and this event has the capacity to inspire additional growth in the sport across all levels, from grassroots enthusiasts to professional teams,” said Sport and Recreation Minister David Templeman.

“The World Supercross Championships event puts locals in pole position for an exciting night out and WA motorsport on track for a great future.”

Taking place over November 23-24, HBF Park will be transformed into a high octane arena of world-class dirt bike racing, featuring some of the world’s best.

“This event is billed as the ‘greatest racing spectacle on dirt’, so it’s only fitting that we host it here in Western Australia, where we have extensive experience in delivering blockbuster, adrenaline-fuelled major events,” said Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti.

The Supercross championships will feature the world’s elite riders competing on a meticulously-designed track, ensuring maximum thrills, with live music, stunning pyrotechnics, and jaw-dropping stunts making for a massive weekend of entertainment.
