This Brand New Airbnb In Claremont Is A Midcentury Masterpiece
We can’t take it anymore! We just keep seeing too many gorgeous homes, and we’re becoming absolutely green with envy – although we may get to have our own stay inside the most recent beauty that has come across our desk from our pals over at Crib Creative.
Just launched on Airbnb, the home is nestled in a pocket of Claremont bordered by the river, Peppermint Grove and Cottesloe… Given that location, it’s only fitting that it would be incredibly, stylishly luxe.
As soon as you enter, you can immediately see the midcentury influence. That stunning front door! The timber feature walls! That perfect, martini-olive-green carpet and wall! We never thought we’d love green carpet this much.
As you enter, you find yourself in the living room, which continues the midcentury vibes. Alongside a huge, timber-framed front window and chic brass light fitting, a timber screen takes pride of place.
And of course, bringing perhaps the biggest midcentury vibes of all? The expanse of fluted timber panelling, which is giving us nostalgic flashbacks to our grandparent’s homes – which, although they had plenty of timber, weren’t quite as chic as this, unfortunately.
Towards the rear of the ground floor, you’ll find the delightfully light-filled dining room, as well as the jaw-dropping kitchen, which manages to balance mid-century style with a more contemporary approach.
This easy-breezy kitchen opens directly out onto the courtyard and spacious covered patio. With an outdoor wood fireplace, we can really see ourselves enjoying this space year-round, whether it’s alfresco dinners or a glass of wine by the fire on colder nights.

Also on the ground floor is the main bedroom and ensuite – just as stylish as the rest of the home, with heaps of storage to boot. The ensuite and kitchen are even making us really reconsider our early-2000s-induced distaste for mosaic tiles.
Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms and another bathroom, which has been thoughtfully updated while maintaining its original character, plus a study for sending a few of those pesky holiday emails.
