Nestled in the heart of the Southern Forests region by the Donnelly, this farm stay in the forest promises peace, quiet and plenty of natural beauty.

Located between Pemberton and Nannup, Stargazers provides the most picture-perfect accommodation to enjoy the Southern Forests from. Think: crisp morning walks among the towering Karri and Jarrah trees, cosy evenings by the crackling fire, and of course, plenty of stargazing.

Run by couple Brett and Wenki, Stargazers invites guests to enjoy a laid-back stay where furry friends can get the plus-one and kids can freely explore and play, making it the perfect choice for a family nature escape or a relaxing couples’ retreat, dog in tow.

Enjoying plenty of space and seclusion, the family-owned farm stay provides three main accommodation types: cottages, glamping suites and ensuite caravan sites, all of which come complete with creature comforts. Their newest addition, The Homestead, is the perfect choice for a big family trip, sleeping up to 10 people.

The six self-contained cottages each come with a fully-equipped kitchen, BBQ, and, TV, while five of the cottages include an outdoor spa for soaking in the serenity.

As for the glamping suites (emphasis on the ‘glam’), expect a king-sized bed, rustic ensuite with a heated rain shower, private outdoor bath beneath the stars, camp kitchen, private deck and personal jetty onto the property’s lake.

Caravaners will appreciate a prolonged pitstop at Stargazers’ rustic caravan sites which come complete with an ensuite with heated rain shower, shaded deck area, BBQ and access to the lake and basic laundry facilities.

Pricing for the cottages starts from $230 per night, while the glamping suites start from $275 per night and the caravan sites are priced at $75 per night.

The riverside farm stay is around a three-and-a-half-hour drive south of Perth (light work in the context of WA road-tripping) and is only set to grow, with owner Brett confirming they have plans to expand Stargazers’ accommodation offering in the near future.
