This new Airbnb near Bunbury has a suspended steel pool overlooking Ferguson Valley
We’ve come across some unique Airbnbs in our time, but this new stay in the Ferguson Valley might just be our new favourite.
Nestled amongst serene state forest in Wellington Mill, the space has been transformed from an artist gallery and studio by award-winning architect Jeffrey Considine.
The 4-bed, 2-bath eco-dwelling blends sustainable living with luxurious comfort, exuding creative charm thanks to original artworks littered throughout.
It’s set on a 1.33 hectare property, close enough to the Ferguson River that you’ll enjoy its seasonal flow while sitting on the expansive deck, taking in valley breezes over a bottle of vino from the region.
It can accommodate up to seven guests, with a curated collection of books and games inside to keep everyone occupied inside (if they can pull themselves away from the gorgeous surrounds).

The hero of the space is surely the suspended steel pool, floating above the rear garden with nothing but lush valley views to enjoy while you do some floating yourself.
There’s plenty to explore outside the home too, including the Wellington Mills downhill trail, Wambenger and Mt Lennard trails for mountain bike enthusiast; Wellington Dam 15 minutes away; and the recently rescued Gnomesville just a couple of kilometres down the road.
And you’re in the thick of one of WA’s rapidly-emerging wine regions, with the likes of Green Door Wines, St Aidan Wines and Hackersley Estate all nearby, alongside Bush Shack and Wild Bull Breweries.
As you can imagine bookings are already pretty tight, but if you’ve got your eye on a 2025 getaway in March onwards, there’s plenty to be found.
