There’s nothing like waking up to the sounds of nature — and when you stay at Treetops in Denmark, that’s exactly what you’ll do.

Leaves rustling in the wind, the melodic song of chirping birds, the running water of the nearby Paynes Bay… Located four kilometres from Denmark’s town centre, this charming, A-frame chalet is perched high among towering karri trees, offering sweeping views of the Wilson Inlet.

Rustic and cosy, the property is the epitome of “cottagecore”, complete with wood-panelled walls, a wood fireplace, floral bedding, and board games as the primary source of entertainment. Its remote location paired with this charming aesthetic makes it the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Featuring two bedrooms (a queen and a twin), the chalet comfortably sleeps four people, making it an ideal choice for a couples’ getaway or family trip. With that said, because the property is located on a steep block of land, it may not be suitable for young children.

A stay at Treetops will also grant you easy access to some of WA’s best naturescapes – adjacent to the property is the world-famous Bibbulmun Track, which stretches over 1000 kilometres from Perth to Albany. There are also several beaches in and around the Denmark area, such as Shelley Beach, Lights Beach, and Ocean Beach.

But our favourite nearby attraction is hands-down The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. If you thought the views from your chalet were amazing, wait until you soak up the sights from this walking trail 40 metres in the air.

Here you can explore the forest canopy, getting up close and personal with some of the largest tree species on the planet. Although it’ll take you roughly 45 minutes to get there by car, trust us: it’s well worth the journey.

Ready to experience WA’s natural beauty from new heights? Here’s the fine print: Treetops Denmark has a minimum two-night stay, with nightly rates starting at a not-too-shabby, $234.
