Boorloo Heritage Festival Kicks Off This Week! A Month-Long Celebration Of Perth’s History
Have you ever wondered where the available profits from your Lotto tickets go (aside from the big prizes)? Along with putting you in the running to win a life-transforming prize, a portion of your Lotto ticket helps make great things happen around the state to the tune of $323 million last financial year via Lotterywest’s grants program.

Well this month another recipient of that grants program kicks off, the City of Perth Boorloo Heritage Festival, a month-long celebration of Perth’s built, natural and cultural heritage.
Now in its 13th year, it shines a light on all corners of Perth’s heritage, the vibrant histories of its neighbourhoods and the cultural heritage of the Whadjuk Nyoongar peoples across an array of more than 90 events over the month of April.
The Lotterywest grants program contributes up to $45,000 towards free community events like heritage walks, talks and workshops, family friendly activities and more, building connections throughout Boorloo Heritage Festival.
It’s a jam-packed program of (mostly) free events, and the best way to organise your heritage journey is via the Boorloo Heritage Festival Website and Interactive Map.
