Perth Comedy Festival @ Various

Treat yourself to some amazing nights of food, drinks and laughs at some of Perth’s best venues, catching comedians from around the globe at this year’s Perth Comedy Festival. Running until May 19, you’ve got over 65 shows to choose from at beloved Perth venues The Astor Theatre, The Rechabite, The Regal Theatre in Subiaco and Freo.Social. Lineup-wise it’s a who’s who of comedy’s funniest names, and it’s also a great opportunity to link up dinner with a show – check the program and grab tickets here.

Jurassic Kingdom @ Burswood Park

It’s the final week of Jurassic Kingdom! Ending on April 28, step back in time and into a playground of moving, roaring dinosaurs surrounded by an array of Jurassic wonders. Alongside over 20 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, there’ll be an erupting volcano, interactive attractions, carnival rides and loads more. It’s running 9am-4pm every day, along with 6-9pm Night Sessions on selected dates, get all the info you need and start booking tickets here.

Australian Heritage Festival @ Various

For more than 40 years, Western Australia has been a part of the Australian Heritage Festival, offering our community an opportunity to be immersed in our state’s rich and diverse heritage through workshops, exhibitions, performances and tours. Presented by the National Trust of Western Australia, you can experience more than 100 events across the state between 18 April to 19 May – see the full event lineup at ntwa.com.au.

Look, look. Anna Park @ AGWA

Prodigious art talent Anna Park will be bringing her first international solo exhibition to Perth, with the arrival of Look, look. Anna Park to AGWA on April 20. Born in South Korea and spending her formative years in Utah, the 27 year old artist will debut 15 never-before-seen, large-scale charcoal and ink works, created specifically for AGWA and exploring ideas of female identity through the lens of film and television with Park’s signature use of dark humour. The free exhibition will be on display until September 8, 2024. Find out more here.

Season 2 Djeran/Makuru @ PICA

The Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) is presenting its first ever season dedicated to performance, bringing music, movement and legacy into the gallery, with new and revisited live works woven throughout its interior space. The lineup is a trailblazing list of music and movement artists from WA and around the country, including Sarah Aiken (NSW, below), Decibel (WA), STRUT Dance (WA) and choreographic artist Shelley Lasica (VIC). Rooftop Encore @ Rooftop Movies

This four week season of LIVE circus and cabaret performances set under the Milky Way ends on April 27! Join FRINGE WORLD faves Yuck Circus and Tone & Cheek as they transform the iconic Rooftop Movies venue into an open-air Big Top – grab all the details and book your tickets here.

Ephemeral Oceanic @ Elizabeth Quay

An immersive art experience with large-scale ‘bubbles’ in the water, on land and in the air, Thursday is your last chance to see Ephemeral Oceanic! The installation features 150 larger-than-life illuminated spheres with their own soundscape, that will transform Elizabeth Quay into a magical escape reflecting the ever-changing hues of the sky, and casting a spellbinding rainbow of colours across the precinct. Scarborough Sunset Markets Summer Finale @ Scarborough Beach

It’s also the summer season finale of Scarborough Sunset Markets this week – saunter down to the north’s favourite esplanade and amphitheatre for food trucks, gorgeous artisan retail goodies and fun surprises along the way, including a final beachside disco at the Beach Club.


FRIDAY 26 APRIL

Lunar Lounge @ WA Museum Boola Bardip

Embark on an up-late journey into space and back in time at the Lunar Lounge pop-up bar at WA Museum Boola Bardip’s newest exhibition, To the Moon. Blending retro vibes with cutting-edge technology, this one-of-a-kind experiential exhibition turns into a bar every Friday evening – enjoy a cocktail and snacks while enjoyoing a lineup of expert talks, engaging activations and more – info/tickets here.

Up The Buff! Fundraiser @ The Buffalo Club

The Buffalo Club needs a little TLC and your help to do it, so they’re throwing a big fundraising party with some heavy hitters, and launching their new Buff Lager! Join Dennis Cometti, Salary, Lonesome Dove, Nervous, Abbe May, Dan Howls, East Mount Barren and Reuben Doojarak from 7pm. They’re even opening upstairs for the first time since the 1970s.

Rail Cocktail Trail @ Various

Four of Perth’s funnest venues have launched a cracking new cocktail trail – the “Rail Cocktail Trail”, running between Fremantle and Perth along the Fremantle Rail! Grab your ticket and start things off at Republic of Fremantle, before heading up to Spirit of Little Things, Besk and Pirate Life Perth. Take as long as you like, the tickets entitle you to one cocktail per stop!


SATURDAY 27 APRIL

Hillbellies @ Mane Liquor Osborne Park

Local legends Hillbellies will be taking over the kitchen at Mane Osborne Park from 12pm this Saturday, bringing their epic and hyper-local burgs to the OP community. Even better, Innate Brewers will be on hand to pour tasters of their delicious beers, and BAE Juice will be there to prep you for further festivities into the weekend!

Flower Crown/Wreath Workshop @ Henry Summer

Join Open Hands Creative in the gardens of Henry Summer and learn how to craft your very own crown or botanical wreath! Ticket includes flowers & foliage⁠, florist equipment⁠, expert guidance, wreath embroidery hoop base OR wire crown⁠, two complimentary drinks⁠ and a mouth-watering grazing table⁠. PreLoved returns to FOMO Freo from 11am until 3pm for an environmentally-conscious day rare and unique vintage finds, open-air DJ sets and seriously food options like Suku Indonesian, Komatsu Japanese Ramen, Lo Kong Kee Hong Kong BBQ and American-style Smash Burgers. Doubleview Bowling Club’s Sunday Sessions are back, featuring cocktails by Idle Hands, free barefoot bowls, Tommy Tacos kitchen takeover and Orange Ave DJs on the tunes.

RENT @ His Majesty’s Theatre

The multi-Tony Award winning rock musical by Jonathan Larson, RENT, embarks on a national tour this year that makes its way to Perth and His Majesty’s Theatre from May 11! Director Shaun Rennie, musical director Andrew Worboys and choreographer Luca Dinardo have assembled some of Australia’s finest singer/actors for an all-new production of this iconic musical, including Noah Mullins (West Side Story), Jerrod Smith (Bell Shakespeare’s The Lovers), Martha Berhane (Hamilton) and Thndo (Dreamgirls).
