Everyone struggles on Valentine’s day.  The singles get bombarded with vomit-worthy couple pics all day and feel the need to book in a single bestie-date to not feel left out. The couples get an insane amount of pressure to find a date idea that is both unique and affordable.  Even the people who don’t really care about Valentine’s day struggle with all the restaurants being booked out and a nationwide chocolate shortage!
It appears everyone has 99 Valentine’s Day problems, but finding something special to do shouldn’t be one!
Here are some of the best things in Perth to do this Valentine’s Day in Perth.

Dome Date Night

If nothing gets you hotter than a nerd date to Scitech, the Dome Date Night is a perfect idea. Get cuddled and comfy as you gaze out into the universe at the planetarium. Cute.

Scarborough Sunset Markets

The sunset markets have once again been a massive hit this year. Hold hands with your number one as you wonder around the various pop-up stalls and food vendors. You can kick back on a beanbag with a glass of bubbles as you check out the live music and the sexy sunset.

For the musos out there, American singer-songwriter Cat Power is gracing Australian shores this V-Day. Her craft is a diverse amalgamation of indie, punk, funk and blues. For those who love strong, multi-skilled female artists (which let’s face it, should be everyone) this one is for you.

Vintage Modern – Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys

I remember seeing these guys play at the Laneway Lounge and I was blown away by their ability to reinvent any modern song to sound like it was released ‘back in the day’. This will be the only time it’s acceptable to tease your spouse over sexy jazz renditions of “U Can’t Touch This”. Can’t pass that up!

If the planetarium didn’t get you going and you want the real thing, you’ll have to take a trip out to Bickley for it. Perth Observatory features a wide range of telescopes for you and your lover to conquer the Southern Hemisphere together.

(NOT) The Bachelor Live

Making a joke out of singles on Valentine’s day seems a little harsh but this show is nothing short of amazing. This raw and un-scripted show takes 4 singles from the crowd and attempts to make true love happen on stage. Held only on Valentine’s day, it’s the perfect place to giggle with your soulmate (or Tinder date).
