Balthazar
Polished, yet accessible. Business appropriate yet gives you a wink. This timeless dining room gives you all the confident, New York-money-never-sleeps vibes you’d hope for, but with an approachable attitude that’s all West Australian. Carpaccio, terrine, kangaroo loin and duck fat potatoes tick all the hedonistic boxes, not to mention the impressive wall of wines.

8 On The Point
Given its location out of the CBD on a literal point of the Swan River in East Perth, it can be easy to forget 8 On The Point, but you’d be a fool to. It’s probably Perth’s finest Chinese restaurant, impeccably crafting traditional and modern fare with top shelf West Australian and Australia produce, they also put on a pretty mean dim sum lunch menu.

They’re obviously two very different restaurants, but generally always go straight to the top of Perth’s fine dining options, and both lie within Crown. The former is world renowned and the height of Japanese quality in Perth, while the latter is unmatched when it comes to treating steak with the reverence it deserves.

If Wildflower isn’t your jam, head downstairs to Post. This bright and fresh dining room manages to be restrained yet dramatic, not least in part to the olive tree centrepiece lit by a glowing, heavenly skylight. A tight menu that leans to the contemporary – rather than the old – world of Italy, it features the same unmistakable Western Australian flair of its upstairs neighbour.

Having relaunched at the start of this year with a new, French-leaning menu – we have a reinvigorated appreciation for the Royal’s decadent dining room. Decked out in sumptuous velvet, Fleur boasts a polished dining experience that features classics like honey roasted Wagin duck à l’orange, an inventive take on lobster mornay, or a steak tartare served alongside a grilled onion emulsion.

A stunning, heritage-listed garden oasis in the heart of the CBD, Lamont’s has been serving up some of Perth’s finest dining for over 20 years. Enter Prego in Floreat, offering a sumptuous mix of that laidback, Amalfi vibe with a decadent dining experience on every level. Best thing is, their degustation and set menus won’t financially cripple you either.

C Restaurant In The Sky
Looking for touch of opulence amongst the clouds, then head to St. Martins Tower on St George’s Tce, jump in the elevator and head to floor #33. C Restaurant is the only revolving restaurant in Western Australia, and offers incredible 360degree views of the city whilst you indulge in some of the finest Modern Australian fare going around. They also do a mean High Tea.
