This town’s big enough for plenty of pubs, and boy – is this one a corker. Good Company is coming this week to the schmick, freshly redeveloped Karrinyup Shopping Centre. The suburb’s been bereft of a pub since the Karrinyup Tavern closed its doors a whopping 34 years ago in 1987, and Good Company couldn’t come quicker.

Part Mediterranean beach club, part local neighbourhood pub, it’s 100% easy going vibes on the new West Deck. Fittingly, you can expect a mix of pub classics like chicken schnitty, fish and chips and pizzas, and some colourful salads to feel nourished.

Inspired by the suburb’s proximity to the ocean, you can also enjoy some modern, coastal flavours like kingfish crudo with blood orange vinaigrette and toasted nori powder, or tiger prawns with achiote paste – perfect for sharing over a long, leisurely afternoon in the sun.

“The Indian Ocean is less than 5kms away, we couldn’t open a pub this close without using some of the most amazing produce from the sea. This is complemented with the best produce from the land, expect to find your favourites and discover some new ones along the way,” says Chef Ben Keal.

Drinks-wise, you can expect a curated selection of bevvies to suit your seafood – with plenty of bubbles, sauv blanc and chardonnay, plus some skin contact varieties and cocktails to bring in your summer with style.
