Over the past little while we’ve teamed up with WA-based P&N Bank to help you find ways to save a few dollars at a time when people need it most.

From saving money on groceries at Perth’s best growers’ markets, to cheap and fun things to do around Perth and a budget-friendly guide to the school holidays, hopefully you’ve found a little help during the current cost-of-living crisis.

Now, we’ve teamed up to help you find the perfect cafes around Perth to suit any situation, whether it’s catching up with friends, work meetings, killing time, or something else!

With their mobile home loan specialists often meeting clients over a coffee and slice of cake, P&N Bank know all the great spots:

Ground+Co

Nestled within the State Library of WA you’ll find the socially conscious coffee crew at Ground+Co, an employment cafe working to break the cycle of homelessness for vulnerable women and young people. Not only do they employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds, but all profits are invested back into training and employing people with experience or at-risk of homelessness – a more pressing issue than ever.

Cafe Elixir

This suburban café has everything you could possibly want or need for brunch in the way of food and drinks. From their famous pancake stacks to traditional bacon and eggs. The coffee here is also one of a kind that you can get in a bowl – because  you can never have too much coffee! With ACROD parking out the front, an inviting ramp and flat entry way, Elixir is fully accessible for wheelchairs and prams. An accessible bathroom is also found in Elixir – just ask the friendly staff where to find it. BONUS: Elixir is dog friendly so you can take your pup and order something special for them too!

Slate Cafe

Slate Cafe is truly magical. Featuring an expansive outdoor area, there is heaps of space for kids to live their best lives. There are climbing frames, chalk boards and often special events, such as Easter egg hunts, which make any visit a rewarding experience. This is truly a place where everyone is welcome and just as much love goes into the menu. It’s especially fun for your furry friends – puppucino anyone?

Copia

This St George’s Terrace hotspot is the perfect place for a longer lunch meeting, or even a cheeky after-work tipple. Originally starting out with just coffee, they’re now open all day and it makes for a great meet-up spot after work, thanks to an extensive global wine list and classic share plates. The classy fit-out and hidden courtyard is also great if you’re looking to impress your guest.

Champagne & Gumboots

Inside the spacious surrounds of Champagne & Gumboots you’ll find every sweet treat you could possibly ever want, along with some of Perth’s best coffee. As an added bonus, this cafe is Coeliac Australia-credited, so it’s the perfect spot to catch up with your gluten free friends. Plus, there’s ACROD parking at the front and back of the building.

5/660 Great Northern Hwy, Herne Hill

Community Coffee Co.

It’s been less than five years since the opening of the Subiaco flagship, but Community Coffee Co. has been going from strength to strength ever since. In the ensuing years, they’ve expanded into another three locations, two of which are in the Perth CBD, along with Angelo Street in South Perth and Duncraig (slinging diner-style brekkies!). All locations bring a warm and welcoming community feel – it is in their name after all!

Zoie Café

If you’re looking for a coastal catchup, Zoie Cafe on Scarborough beachfront is the one! There’s plenty of parking (including ACROD) near the surf lifesaving club, and then simply head down the elevator for some ocean views with your avo on toast. This family owned and operated cafe is big on community, regularly hosting things like sundowners with family and friends, and the huge grassed area out front is great for the kids to run around.

Local & Aesthetic

A combo cafe and retail space that puts a big emphasis on local suppliers, local ingredients and basically being local legends, Local & Aesthetic is the quintessential neighbourhood catchup spot. Once you’ve filled up on brunch, pop in to neighbouring General & Aesthetic to browse the books and gifts at the Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health Social Enterprise store, along with a rotating selection of local pop-up retailers.

Our Ruby Girl

Where to even begin with Our Ruby Girl?! Not only is this charming little spot a zero-waste cafe, it’s also got an epically-stocked little providore filled with all kinds of goodies and gifts. Plus, they’re an Equal Opportunity Employer hiring people with disabilities and also offering training programs. And while this will all nourish your soul, their delicious meals centred around healthy and locally-sourced produce will nourish your tummy. It’s a vibrant and welcoming place for all, the coffee’s great, and if you’re looking for a hot tip menu-wise: get the breakfast gnocchi!

Two Dogs Laughing

At Two Dogs Laughing you’re always guaranteed to find at least one dog laughing – Boncie, the cafe dog! Of course, you’re very welcome to bring your own puppy pal along for a free puppuccino while you enjoy some of their delicious food in the al fresco area, all sourced from free range produce.
