With the weather finally warming up, we’re ready for a long Perth summer filled with good food and good wine – and to take advantage of some of the speccy waterfront views we’re lucky enough to boast.
Part of the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront, Reel Kitchen is one of their two dining options – perched right on the river at Elizabeth Quay, with the dining room boasting huge uninterrupted views over the water.
As well as welcoming in summer, the restaurant has recently also welcomed a brand new Head Chef, Vanessa Grace, a 13-year veteran and Australian Female Chef Of The Year at the Women In Food Service Awards in 2017.
Grace brings a passion for native ingredients and a brand new menu, which focuses on utilising local produce – plus, suitably for its waterfront location, fresh seafood. Full of fresh, summer flavours, you’ll be able to dive into Fijian Kokoda, barbecued WA scampi, Shark Bay scallops and cuttlefish, or kombucha battered Cone Bay barramundi.
It’s also worth a visit to Reel Kitchen just to check out their extensive wine list, which itself focuses on some of the world-class drops coming out of WA – with plenty that will go perfectly with a warm sunset and an oyster or two!
