The perfect Bloody Mary might be hard to find, but they’re oh so good when you do. Nothing takes the edge off a big night like a big red spicy boi, so we humbly took it upon ourselves to seek and destroy the best of ‘em.

Mount Street Breakfast Bar

When it comes to fresh and/or fun little bars in Perth, Mount Street Breakfast Bar is up there with the best of ‘em. And while their Turkish poached eggs are world famous, it’s when you pair it with their $9 Bloody Mary you recently start cookin’.

42 Mount St, Perth

Mechanics Institute

Any Bloody Mary conversation worth its Worcestershire has to namecheck Mechanics as the home of one of – if not – Perth’s best. Supercharged with a slider on top, it’s basically world famous at this point, and you’ll kick yourself if you don’t indulge.

222 William St, Northbridge

Rosemount Hotel

So you might not associate this rock’n’roll joint with breakfast cocktails, but we literally popped in last weekend and scored an absolutely ripping Bloody Mary. No muss, no fuss, just some fiery red juice and a fresh slice of celery – fixed us right up.

459 Fitzgerald St, North Perth

The Old Laundry

Across the road on Angove if it’s a more breakfast-based Bloody Mary you’re after, The Old Laundry Bar & Kitchen has you covered.

22 Angove St, North Perth

Sayer’s Sister

Outside of already having one of the best brekky menus in town, they pour a beaut Bloody Mary. Even better, they’ll let you decide how much Tobasco, salt and pepper you want to put in when they bring the ingredients out with the glass.

236 Lake St, Perth

The Shorehouse

If a Bloody Mary by the beach doesn’t already get you excited, what about five of them?! That’s right, The Shorehouse in Swanbourne has five to choose from: Shorehouse, Red Snapper, BBQ Smoked, Bloody Maria and Howling Mary. Hewly dewly…

278 Marine Pde, Swanbourne

Tiisch

Not only do Tiisch serve up an elegantly simple Bloody Mary option, you can drink as many as you damn well please for two hours as part of their $65 Bottomless Brunch. Perth loves a bottomless anything, and Tiisch has been ahead of the curve for a while now, so head on down and hook in.

9B 938 Hay St (Corner Milligan St), Perth

Shadow Wine Bar

One of our favourite wine bars in the city also just happen to sling a mean Bloody Mary at their special weekend breakfasts from 8am-11.45am. Pairs perfectly with the baked eggs and chorizo, although if it’s a sneaky treat you’re after you gotta try the house made crumpets with ricotta and honeycomb.

214 William St, Perth

Old Faithful

Head to the Old Faithful Bar & BBQ on the right day and you can find yourself something pretty special – the $25 Big Bloody Mary. Served in a pint glass with a hot wing, brisket slice and pick garnish, it’ll cure what ales ya.

86 King St, Perth

Side Door BBQ

And keeping on the big barbecue tip, Side Door down Mary St in Highgate’s Bacon Bloody Mary is a monster. Served up in a stein for one for $14, why not make it a jug for two for $28, and let the heart attack commence!

497-499 Beaufort St, Highgate

Mr Chapple

Sure you’re spoilt for choice down at The Old Synagogue in Freo, but if it’s Bloody Mary’s you’re chasing then Mr Chapple if your man. The all day Bloody Mary teamed with their special Brekky Tacos or Breakfast Dumplings, perched on the rooftop bar watching the Freo world go by…life doesn’t get much better!

The Left Bank

If the Fremantle street views aren’t tickling your fancy, perhaps a perch by the river in North Freo at The Left Bank is more your pace? Their Bloody Smoken Mary goes down a bloody treat as you watch the boats drift by.

15 Riverside Road, East Fremantle

The Moon Café

It might not specifically be on the menu, but we have it on good authority that not only if you ask specially for a Bloody Mary you’ll get one, it’ll be one of the finest Northbridge has to offer. Anyways it’s the Moon – you can’t go wrong whatever you ask for!\
