It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, we’re not talking about Christmas – we’re talking about the magical, long-awaited time of the year when truffles come into season!

For a few months, we’ll admit – we go truffle-mad. And while there are countless amazing eateries serving up special truffle dishes, there’s nowhere to enjoy the rare fungi – just moments away from where it was unearthed – quite like the iconic, locally-run Truffle Kerfuffle, back and better than ever after a year off in 2022.

Over one weekend in June, Manjimup’s picturesque Fonty’s Pool becomes the world’s truffle mecca, with foodies descending on the region’s world-class produce with fervor.

Explore the Truffle Kerfuffle Festival Village

The action will be based out of the Festival Village. With campfires crackling, get ready to rug up, peruse the Marketplace and treat yourself to some of the most sought-after truffle products in the world from the amazing artisan producers of the Southern Forests and Valleys.

We don’t know about you, but with all this browsing we’re feeling pretty peckish – and ready to indulge in something delicious from the festival’s Campfire Kitchen. Catch some tricks to use at home with live cooking demonstrations from an all-star lineup of chefs, and make sure to try your luck at the iconic marron raffle!

Indulge at the Festival Restaurant

The festival’s signature indulgent long-tables are also back – with a nose-to-tail candle-lit dinner with MKR’s Colin Fassnidge and a collaborative winter feast with chef and wild-cooking expert Analiese Gregory and zero-waste superstar Melissa Palinkas.

We’ve always believed in the old adage “start as you mean to go on” – which is exactly how we intend to enjoy our Truffle Kerfuffle, with spectacular brunches from native ingredient pioneer Paul ‘Yoda’ Iskov and Michelin-starred Jake Kellie of Adelaide’s Arkhé (and previously Singapore’s Burnt Ends).

Delicious eats deserve equally delicious drops, so join in on one of the ultimate wine masterclasses with Director of Wine for the State Buildings, Emma Farrelly.
