Dumplings To Die For: Have You Tried Yang’s Hand-Wrapped Dumplings Yet?
We’ve long maintained that the only thing better than a dumpling is a whole plate of them – and we think Curtin students and nearby locals are going to be pretty happy to hear about this one.
You may have seen the name Yang’s Dumpling before: as part of a mammoth chain originating in Shanghai, they’ve been making waves over east before their first foray into WA with their Waterford Plaza location.
Naturally, the eatery specialises in Shanghainese cuisine, pumping out bounteous plates of dumplings – which are hand wrapped in store by a team of master chefs.

Their signature dumpling is Shanghai xiaolongbao, pan fried pork bun and pan fried pork dumpling, and they offer specialties from across other regions: think spicy, peanutty Sichuan dandan noodles, braised beef brisket noodles and refreshing, zesty cucumber salad topped with chilli and vinegar.
For those on-the-go, grab a roujiamo – also called a Chinese hamburger, flatbread is filled with mouthwatering pork belly, slow cooked over four hours.
Yang’s Dumpling is located at Shop 47, Waterford Plaza, 230 Manning Road, Karawara. Take a look at their delicious offerings on their INSTAGRAM.
