Sunshine, New Spaces & Special Tunes: Why We’re Stoked On FALLS Festival’s Freo Return
If you’ve felt like the last couple of years have been a bit of a blur – you’re not alone, and we were blown away by the fact it’s been three long years since FALLS Festival brought a huge weekend of good times and great musicians way back at the beginning of 2019.
So it’s fair to say we’re falls-ing ourselves with excitement for its triumphant return at the start of next year, coming back to Fremantle over the weekend of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 January with an enormous lineup of international, national and local artists.
It won’t be without a few extra-special bells and whistles either – read on below for some of the reasons we’re getting excited to kick off 2023 the right way, and grab your tickets via the FALLS website.
A Lineup Filled With Global Superstars And Hometown Heroes
How good has it been having international artists back in our midst this year?! And FALLS Festival is bringing an absolutely A+ plus lineup of acts, not just from abroad but also from the east coast, with a few legendary locals thrown in for good measure. From Lil Nas X’s first time in Australia, to indie rock gods Arctic Monkeys, club icon Peggy Gou and production wunderkind Jamie xx, the top tier is backed by a host of faves like DMA’s, G Flip, Ocean Alley, Amyl & The Sniffers and loads more.
The Festival Has A New Home In An Iconic Freo Venue
After spending a couple of years at Fremantle Oval, FALLS is shifting up the road this year to iconic live music venue Fremantle Arts Centre and neighbouring Fremantle – both spectacular locations in their own right without losing any of the charm of being in the heart of Freo. The new home also gives punters the opportunity to supercharge their falls outing with some new VIP experiences, including Club FALLS.
Some Delicious Eat & Drink On Foodie Streets And Small Bars
With all the dancing and drinking you’ll be doing it’s important to stay nourished, which is where FALLS’ foodie haven High Street comes into play. You’ll find all kinds of tantalising treats to keep you fuelled over the day including burgers, Korean fried chicken, woodfired pizzas, ramen and of course a range of vegan, vego, gluten and dairy free options for those who need ‘em!
