We talk about the hills region of Perth’s east quite a bit on Perth Is Ok, and for good reason! It’s not all about the beaches in WA. Just a quick half-n-hour east of the city is a magical mix of hiking trails, swimming holes, waterfalls, wildflower walks, vineyards, cafés, quarries, art galleries and more.

Since the start of October they’ve been celebrating all these things and more with the annual Perth Hills Spring Festival. Activating a wild variety of spaces in and around Kalamunda, if you’ve ever been thinking you need to get up there, now is the time!

The Hills Spring Festival continues through until November 11, and here’s a few of the happenings down over the next couple of weekends.

ARTISAN MARKET

Kalamunda’s popular artisan markets will once again take over the town square from 8.30am-2pm on Saturday 2 November. Pick amongst a huge variety of handcrafted and homegrown products from the local community.
